To Glenn, the making of this wine is all about enphasising its site. With forty percent of fruit sourced from estate vineyards, twenty percent undergoes natural fermentation and no malolactic fermentation in order to allow the personality of the site to come through. The result certainly expresses the philosophy, as a Chardonnay built on the vibrancy of primary fruit. It has flavours of grapefruit, white peach, nougat and lemon, in a pure, restrained style with very subtle cashew nut oak propelling the fruit. With excellent length and line and well-balanced acidity, this is a beautifully crafted wine which makes for refreshing drinking now and will develop well for some years. 94 points - Tyson Stelzer, Wineaway, September 2009
