Working for Enotria

Our people are key to our success and ongoing growth, so it should be no surprise that we take our employees' career development and progression very seriously.  With regular appraisals and one-to-ones, we will work with you to help you succeed in your role and offer a range of training and development opportunities for all employees, including the chance to study for the highly regarded Wine and Spirit Education Trust qualifications.

We work hard, the pace is fast and there’s always lots going on but we like to have fun too.  Events run throughout the year where our employees have the chance to get together, whether it be a summer barbeque, a charity run, a wine tasting or one of our knowledge sharing sessions.

Wherever possible we offer internal promotion opportunities and are proud that throughout our business there are people who have developed their careers with us.Scroll to the profiles below to learn more about some of our employees.

Harriet Kininmonth   Buyer

“I joined Enotria in the logistics department in 2008 having completed a degree in Modern Foreign Languages (French and Spanish). After six months, Enotria reacted to my determination by giving me the chance to apply for the new Buying Assistant role which I was delighted to get.

"Two years later and I’ve been handed over Spain and the Loire Valley as areas of buying responsibility and I have recently been sponsored to do my WSET diploma.

"It's especially exciting to be looking after the Spanish range which is fast evolving with lots of new wines and have the support of the whole company in this."

Ivan Vuckovic Graphic Designer Sales Support

"I studied a 3 year Graphic Design course in South Africa and had been working in Graphic Design for over 10 years before joining Enotria. I came to London to further my career which Enotria has allowed me to do.

"I have been employed for 2 years and have had a lot of opportunities to progress my career; for example, getting involved in photography projects which is something that I have a strong interest in and was previously employed at a  Photographic studio. I enjoy working at Enotria for a variety of reasons: the multicultural demographic of employees which makes it like working for an international family, the opportunities to taste and go to events, and training/workshops, to appreciate and learn about wine."

Claire Thevenot   London Sales

"I was born and raised in Besancon, Franche Comte like Raymond Blanc! I worked a bit in France, Germany and Switzerland before moving to Brighton 10 years ago for the opening of Hotel du Vin there.

"I worked for the company for 5 years, in Brighton and Winchester, before taking a wine training role for both Hotel du Vin and Malmaison.

"Then I came to Enotria. What I find fun about my job is that there is no routine, each day is different and I get the opportunity to meet so many people. Tasting nice wines with the best sommeliers in London and seeing our producers being happy to have a good distribution makes me happy!"

Claire is one of a rare breed who has passed the fiendishly hard Master Sommelier (MS) exam.

Ruth Ford   Off Trade Sales Manager

Ruth joined Enotria in 2008 in the sales support department, assisting the regional sales teams. Itching to get her hands on some customers for herself,  she went on to become a fully-fledged member of the on-trade sales team, managing accounts including restaurants, bars, independent retailers, brokers and catering companies.

In Summer 2011, wanting to learn more about the other side of our business, Ruth moved to the off-trade team as a National Account Manager. In the meantime Ruth completed her WSET Diploma - where she gained a distinction!

Ruth says "In my spare time, apart from thinking almost constantly about wine and boring all my friends to death about it, I love doing some yoga, hanging around in Brixton, and putting on really loud music with all the windows open."
