Ridgeview Knightsbridge Blanc de Noirs has bagged the first ever Gold Medal for an English sparkling wine in the Sommelier Wine Awards (SWA). The 2009 wine, produced exclusively from Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, was a huge hit with the judges. They said
"The red fruits, brioche and spiecs on the nose open up to a complex, textured palate, with a fine mousse and savoury notes. Good acidty to balance, with pink grapefruit on the finishsh."
Knightsbridge was just one of sixteen gold medals for Enotria wines at this year's competition - you can see our full results here.
