It's always a real pleasure, in these days of ever-increasing corporate monoliths, to get face to face with a real artisan winemaker. Such a man is Dave Palmer of the frankly hard-to-spell Skillogalee, who came to the Clare Valley from Wales via routes too circuitous to describe. A quietly passionate man, Dave makes superlative examples of Clare wines including of course Riesling - whose fans include Matthew Jukes amongst many others. Here's a clip of Dave not showing his Riesling, but his Cabernet Sauvignon / Cabernet Franc blend, called simply 'The Cabernets'.
