  1. 2009 The Gypsy, Shiraz Grenache, Ken Forrester Wines

The character is somewhat wild, a little brambly with hints of nutmeg, cinnamon, dark spices, with vanilla scents and a distinct, concentrated red-fruit focus. Great for laying down and keeping for at least ten years but already rewarding if allowed to breathe in a decanter.

  2. 2012 Le Pas Du Moine Rosé, Gassier

Pale pink colour. Beguiling and elegant fruit, dry, super-smooth and balanced body. Very moreish.

  3. 2011 Château du Donjon Grande Tradition

Dark reddish-purple, this Languedoc red breathes ripe, grapey fruit, raspberry fruits, and fragrant black pepper with a lightly herbaceous 'leafy' back note. Full and luscious on the first taste, its juicy black fruit is nicely balanced by tart, crisp acidity, with soft tannins lurking behind the fruit to create a fresh, mouth-watering flavour - great structure. Very luscious on palate. Finishes on ripe intense black fruit finish - delicious!

  4. 2011 Côtes du Rhône, Domaine de la Mirandole

Light, ruby red with a perfumed, fruity nose of violet and raspberry. The palate is balanced by juicy damson and raspberry fruit, smooth tannins, good acidity and a spicy finish. Beautifully structured.

  5. 2010 Grenache, Montagne Noire, Vin de Pays d'Oc, Foncalieu

Soft blueberry, plum and raspberry notes with a smooth structure and gentle tannin. A round and well-balanced palate.

  6. 2011 Châteauneuf Reserve des Oliviers, Maison Favier

The grenache character predominates on the nose with plenty of raspberry fruit. A succulent attack is balanced by fine tannins and good acidity. The finish is marked by spice and blackcurrant.
