  1. NV Saumur Brut, Domaine de Brizé

A really superb sparkling Loire, dry but not aggressive, produced from Chenin Blanc in the small village of Martigne-Briand, close to the town of Saumur. The wine has a beautifully fragrant English late summer fruits bouquet (apples and pears) and is clean, fresh and lively on the palate, a great alternative to Champagne.

The palate is full bodied and chunky with a well delineated structure of integrated, fine grained tannin and ripe toasty oak encasing the fruit flavours right through to the rounded, lengthy finish.

  7. NV Brut Mosaïque, Champagne Jacquart

Light, golden yellow colour with fine, long-lasting bubbles. The bouquet is lovely and fresh with fruity grape and pear hints mingling with intense notes of bread crust. Fresh and rather powerful on the palate creating a balanced overall impression with a lovely, long-lasting finish; spice bread and fruit flavours.

  8. 2010 Chablis 1er Cru Montmain, Domaine Louis Michel

Bright white gold in colour with a pronounced, vibrant nose showing citrus and floral aromas with hints of brioche. The palate is full of mineral flavours alongside zippy citrus and green apple characteristics. The finish is elegant and very fine.

Ruby red in colour with enticing aromas of red berry fruits. The palate is round, with subtle flavours of raspberries and other red fruits. The wine is well balanced and the tannins smooth and approachable.
