The Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon gives the wine a rich, savoury character. Dolcetto enhances the blend, offering firm tannins to the mix. 2012 Capitel Croce IGT, Anselmi

    (12x75cl)

Outstanding. The wine exhibits a straw colour and subtle vanillin and spice aromas are noticeable in the aromatics, a creamy texture, admirable finesse and complexity and a surprisingly fat concentration and length.

  3. 2011 Crozes Hermitage Cuvée Albéric Bouvet, Domaine Gilles Robin

Vibrant aromas of plum with great texture and balance between front-mid-end palate. Fresh but rich with great sustain of flavour on the finish.

  4. 2011 Gigondas Tradition Le Grand Montmirail, Domaine Brusset

Medium ruby. Aromas of black cherry, currant and liquorice. Lush but bright in the mouth, with noteworthy depth of flavour and restrained sweetness. Finishes with ripe, dusty tannins and excellent persistence.

  5. 2006 Château Talbot, 4ème Cru Classé

Deep ruby in colour. A marvellous array of flavours and aromas, especially blackcurrants, wild berries, leather, herbs, chocolate, vanilla, smoky oak and spices. The tannic structure is tight, well integrated and superbly crafted, beginning to soften now and revealing a seductive side to this famous wine.

  6. 2013 Estate Pinot Noir, Humberto Canale Patagonia

This wine has an attractive garnet colour. On the nose there are notes of spice and candied fruit with nuances of fresh red berries such as strawberries and cherries. Its ageing in oak is emphasised with a smoky vanilla aroma. In the mouth, it is delicate in body, with soft tannins and ripe red fruit flavour and a long persistent finish.

  7. 2010 The Love Grass Shiraz, d'Arenberg

The wine displays a mix of fruit and spice, a result of the myriad of minor varieties that cling to the bones of the Shiraz and draw it in all sorts of different directions.
Fresh and lively, black and red fruits, pepper, clove and cinnamon.
The palate, whilst showing the poise and focus common amongst the 2011’s, develops its richness in the glass.
Ensure you take a moment to savour this wine and watch its complex mix of fruits evolve from tight and linear at first to rich, dark and exotic.

  8. 2012 Pato Frio Red Edition, Ribafreixo

A blend of plum, wild berry and spice, with a hint of dark chocolate.

  9. 2011 Pinot Gris Réserve, Trimbach

One of the noblest of the Alsace grapes, Pinot Gris produces a full, heady, rich and lush wine in Trimbach’s hands. It is technically dry, but the style is so fruity and full, with such a long palate that the illusion of sweetness is maintained. Watch out too for a smokiness on the finish. Its great depth is balanced by a crisp acidity that gives structure and longevity.

  10. 2006 Perlé Nero, Ferrari
    sparkling

    2006 Perlé Nero, Ferrari

    (6x75cl)

Rich and matured, powerful, with a great complexity which goes from fruity to mineral and roast notes.
