  1. 2012 Bardolino Doc Le Nogare, Bertani

Smart nose with some cherry fruit and light dusting of spice. On the palate the wine is light, well balanced with more cherry notes and a savoury finish.

  2. 2012 Reserve Cabernet, Tooma River, Warburn Estate

Grown in the warm, sun drenched Australian vineyard, Cabernet Sauvignon produces a distinctive, full bodied and generous style. This Reserve Cabernet is a great example, showing luxuriant blackcurrant aromas with hints of mint and delivering a powerful, concentrated palate of ripe blackcurrant and fig flavours, finishing supple and textured.

  3. 2011 Chablis, Domaine Bernard Defaix

Classic Chablis nose of lemon and lime with a hint of spice. Dry and steely with flavours of lemon and honey offset by a certain richness and complex finish.

  4. 2009 Nuits St. Georges, Domaine Fernand Lecheneaut

This outstanding wine has a deep ruby red colour and evolved nose of red fruit and spice. Nuits' has a reputation for slightly aggressive tannins but this is not the case here, with wonderfully rounded ripe berry fruit and soft voluptuous tannins. The palate is rich and well balanced, and the finish is extremely long and elegant.

  5. 2011 Château Nicot Blanc, Bordeaux, Château Nicot

Sparkling golden green in colour. Powerful, elegant nose reminiscent of vanilla, fresh butter, lemon, toasted almonds and linden blossom. On the palate, appealing fruitiness and oakiness finishing with impressions of exotic fruit and wild mint.

  6. 2006 Gevrey-Chambertin, Domaine Claude Dugat

An aromatic nose of ripe red and black cherries with a touch of underbrush. Very pure with a silky texture and lovely intensity of fruit. Seamless through to the finish.

  7. 2012 Sauvignon Rueda, Marqués de Riscal

Pale yellow in colour with hints of green. Very complex nose with abundant fruit (lime, grapefruit, passion fruit and melon), green grass and an underlying minerality that adds personality. Crisp palate, medium-bodied with a clean, long lingering finish.

  8. 2011 Poggio alla Badiola, Toscana, Castello di Fonterutoli

This wine is made from Sangiovese grapes, by one of Tuscany's best producers. Delicious, plummy, damson fruit flavours with smooth, integrated tannins.

  9. 2011 La Place Cabernet Sauvignon

Lively ruby red in the glass with a nose of blackcurrants and plum jam. Supple structure in the mouth with fine ripe tannins and good balancing acidity.

  10. 2010 Langhe Nebbiolo DOC, Parusso

Well structured but retaining a certain plumpness, warm, soft and lengthy, displays red berry flavours and hints of oak with winter spices.
