  1. 2013 Semi-crianza Austral Rioja, Principe Viana

Bright, cherry red in appearance, the nose is full of intense red and black fruit aromas with just a hint of vanilla. The palate is well-balanced with a rich ripe fruit character and warm finish.

  2. 2010 Barolo Cannubi, E. Pira

    2010 Barolo Cannubi, E. Pira

    (6x75cl)

The intense and brilliant colour perfectly expresses the polyphenols of a very successful Nebbiolo. On the nose it develops gradually its richness; the initially fruity and spicy aromas envelop notes of sour cherry and raspberry, while hints of cocoa and vanilla make the bouquet even more intriguing

  3. 2013 Pinot Nero Classici DOC, Colterenzio

Brilliant medium ruby with a fresh, fruity nose, aromatic with hints of red currants and black cherry; medium-bodied, round with soft tannins and ripe berry flavours supported by refreshing palate-lifting acidity. A stylish and elegant wine rather than full-bodied and muscular.

  4. 2012 Riesling, Carrick Winery

    2012 Riesling, Carrick Winery

    (6x75cl)

Aromatically there are orange blossoms, honeysuckle and jasmine. On the palate it's a real citrus fiesta with sweet lemon, limes and mandarins. There is also an element of minerality about the wine with subtle notes of stone fruit and almonds. The sugar acid balance is described as 'off dry' and the finish is clean making this a good aperitif and food wine.

  5. 2008 Chablis Grand Cru Bougros, Domaine de Vauroux

This is quintessential Grand Cru Chablis from an outstanding vintage. Intense and elegant on the nose the palate is immensely concentrated and complex with layers of green apple and restrained minerality. The finish is amazingly long.

  6. 2008 Volnay, Domaine Régis Rossignol Changarnier

The nose is a fantastic combination of cherry and rosehip fruit with delicious gamey/spicy/nutty complexity. In the mouth it is medium-bodied and elegant with bright acidity, fine tannin and a complex finish. As befits its septuagenarian winemaker, this is a wonderful traditional Volnay.

  7. 2013 Gravina Organic Bianco, Botromagno

Straw coloured, clear and bright. The bouquet is both floral and fruity, reminiscent of apple, peach, apricot and pinepple, with an underlying hint of almond. Dry and firm on the palate with tangy acidity; light bodied and elegant.

  8. 2013 Arpeggio Catarratto, Settesoli

Lightly aromatic and floral in character with delicate flavours of white blossom and peaches, balanced with refreshing acidity.

  9. 2013 Ebano 6 Tempranillo, Ribera Del Duero

Intense, almost opaque ruby core with a purple rim on first release, this powerful young wine shows a highly fruity nose of ripe blackberries, ripe plums and strawberries. The mineral notes of the terroir, and a hint of fresh greenness work wonderfully as a foil to the exuberant fruit. On the palate there is a medium to full bodied mouthfeel with powerful structure given by warm, ripe tannins.

  10. 2011 Great Southern Riesling, Howard Park

Brilliant and pale lemon yellow in colour with intense and lifted aromas of zested lemon/lime citrus and fresh pears. The palate is full of fresh citrus, nashi pear and golden delicious apple flavours that give depth and richness. Whilst defined by these rich fruit flavours, the palate is guided by a fine, citrus acidity that adds length and finesse.
