Cross at Kingussie makes Roederer Wine List Short List

Posted 9th August, 2010

Great news for Highland ‘restaurant with rooms’ The Cross at Kingussie as it made the Louis Roederer Wine List of the Year short list in Imbibe magazine.
The Cross was the only Scottish restaurant to makethe 26-strong shortlist, which was selected by judges including Thierry Tomasin of Angelus, Hamish Anderson of Tate Group and Christine Parkinson of Hakkasan. Les Somerville of Enotria says “I’m delighted for David and Katie – they really deserve this accolade for their amazingly varied list. David lists wines that he really likes rather than just doing a deal with one supplier. A lot of people who dine here are really happy to let the staff choose their wine for them.” Amongst popular Enotria pours are Little Yering Pinot Noir and Urlar Sauvignon Blanc.
The outright winner of Wine List of the Year will be announced in September in Imbibe.
