Enotria goes English

Posted 25th January, 2010

We are very pleased to tell you that the Ridgeview Sparkling wine range from Ditchling in Sussex is now available to the On Trade through Enotria. The Bloomsbury, Grosvenor Blanc de Blancs and Fitzrovia (Rosé) wines have already established Ridgeview’s reputation as one of England’s foremost producers, and we are looking forward to bringing them to a wider drinking audience. All wines are produced solely from the noble Champagne grapes of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier (the Grosvenor being 100% Chardonnay).

Mardi Roberts, Sales and Marketing manager at Ridgeview, says: “We are really pleased to be joining with Enotria as our main point of contact with the on-trade. After various meetings and research with distributors we felt that Enotria was the best company to meet our growing needs, as we share many core values of being passionate and dynamic with focus on personal relationships and quality. In our 10 years of sales we have had incredible success with our wines with over 100 awards and trophies. There has been a renaissance in the general public perception of English sparkling wines with people are now insisting they see on them wine lists and Enotria will be our key to make this happen”.

Daniel Hart, Senior Buyer at Enotria, says:

“Given the visible and exciting growth in the quality English wine scene, we have looked long and carefully to find a good partner producer. The Roberts’ family approach to pioneering consistently high quality wines makes them a perfect fit with Enotria’s portfolio and our On Trade customer base. Consumers are becoming more aware of regionality, seasonality, where their food and drink is grown and how it is produced, and offering the exceptional wines from Ridgeview answers many of these important issues. We are delighted to be embarking on this new venture with Ridgeview, and are confident that as knowledge and demand for English wines increase we have the right partnership to fulfil this opportunity.”
