| Enotria Appointed Exclusive UK Agent for Marqués de Riscal
Enotria is delighted to announce its appointment as exclusive Agent for Marqués de Riscal in the UK. Marqués de Riscal will form a key part of the Enotria portfolio and further strengthen the mission to be acknowledged as a leading world wine distributor.
Alison Levett, Enotria’s Chief Executive commented:
“We are privileged to have been given the opportunity to work with Marqués de Riscal in the UK. I have long admired the Riscal wines as a consumer and I am thrilled that we have been able to add such fantastic wines with such a prestigious reputation to our portfolio.”
José Luis Muguiro Aznar, General Sales Manager and Board Director at Marqués de Riscal responded:
“2008 marks the 150th anniversary of the foundation of Marqués de Riscal and we are delighted to be starting the next 150 years with a new dynamic partner in the UK market. We were drawn to Enotria by their well documented strength in the on trade and also by their, perhaps less well publicised, relationships with the multiple grocers and wine specialist retailers.”
Enotria will be working closely with Laurent Perrier to ensure a smooth customer transition which is expected to take place over the next few weeks.

| Enotria Appointed Exclusive UK Agent for Trinity Hill
We are delighted to announce Enotria’s appointment as exclusive agent for Trinity Hill in the UK. Enotria has been distributing Trinity Hill Wines in the on trade for 6 years, previously through the agent Laurent-Perrier. Enotria will work closely with Laurent Perrier and co-founders of Trinity Hill, Robyn and Robert Wilson to ensure a smooth hand over for customers, and we will begin as sole importer from 1st January 2007.
Alison Levett, Enotria’s Chief Executive commented:
“This is an exciting opportunity for Enotria because we already know the wines are very well received in the market. Demand for premium New Zealand wines continues to grow both in the on and off trade and this agreement will enable Enotria and Trinity Hill to work together towards future growth in the UK. We are looking forward to working with John Hancock, Trinity Hill's CEO and Winemaker-in-Chief and the Wilsons, and couldn’t wish for better ambassadors of these superb wines”.
Robyn and Robert Wilson responded:
"We believe that Enotria is the perfect partner for Trinity Hill. They have a terrific sales team who are highly respected in the trade for their enthusiasm, their professionalism and their ability to deliver. And given their strong working relationship with Laurent-Perrier, we are sure the handover will be seamless."

| Fiano Mandrarossa wins Great Value Wine 2007 At International Wine Challenge
If Fiano needed another accolade to secure its position amongst the big players on the International Wine Scene, it now has it. Mandrarossa Fiano 2006, from Cantine Settesoli in Sicily, has been named Great Value White Wine of the Year, by the International Wine Challenge.* This adds to its gold medal and trophy for Best White Wine in the same competition.
The Fiano has won the prestigious award specifically for White Wines between £5-10. “This is particularly significant,” says Alison Levett, Enotria’s Chief Executive, “as it is well known that Italy has been struggling to break into this ‘premium’ category for a long time. The Award proves what we have believed for many years; that Italy has wines that can compete with the very best in the world in this highly competitive price bracket. We are delighted that Fiano is now flying Italy’s flag.”
“Fiano is Italy’s greatest new success story,” adds Sergio de Luca, Italian buyer at Enotria. With major Fiano listings in Tescos, Waitrose and Majestic, we are confident that, at last, we have an exciting answer to the long running question, ‘How is Italy going to extend it’s current success beyond Pinot Grigio? Tim Atkin MW, Chairman of the IWC concurs, saying, “As a Fiano lover, I'm delighted to see a wine made from this most delicious of Italian white varieties being honoured in this way. With a bit of luck, it'll turn people onto something that's a lot more interesting than Pinot Grigio.”

| Fiano - The Next Pinot Grigio
Pinot Grigio is currently the fastest growing wine style in the UK, and saw an increase of 1.3 million cases last year. It is the Valentino Rossi of Italian wine and Italy needs to capitalise on this to maintain its healthy position as number 4 in the trade. But how? Enter Fiano: the Southern Italian grape variety originating in Campania and a veritable show-stopper at this year’s competitions. Click here for more information.
