Yves Girardin, the owner of Château de la Charrière, comes from a long line of “vignerons”; in fact Yves is the 14th generation to be involved in wine production. The estate is based in Santenay, at the southern end of the Côte d’Or, and extends to 19 hectares. The wines are made in the traditional manner with fermentation and ageing taking place in oak barriques. The wines are classic expressions of the Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes from which they are made, and represent excellent value for money. Please note that Château de la Charrière is a small estate, and quantities are therefore limited. |
