Mandrarossa and its parent winery Settesoli continue to show the benefit of their tireless dedication to quality and innovation. In 2009 they gained their first-ever Tre Bicchieri (three glasses) award for Cartagho 2006, and this feat has been repeated with the 2008 vintage in 2011. The Mandrarossa range has gone through an extensive makeover this year, both in terms of wines and packaging, and the results are very impressive on both counts. The Costadune dual varietals entry range is new, as is a really interesting trio of single vineyard wines. The Santannella, a Fiano/Viognier/Chenin Blanc blend with some oak ageing, was a huge hit at our Annual Tasting in March.
