Agricola Punica
Sardinia (Italy)
Barrua is the first wine of the joint-venture between prestigious Sardinian winery Cantina Sociale di Santadi and Tenuta San Guido, home of Marchese Niccolo Incisa and perhaps more importantly, Sassicaia. Key players in the venture are Antonello Pilloni (President of Santadi), Sebastiano Rosa (Managing Director of San Guido) and Giacomo Tachis (oenologist for both Santadi and San Guido) who has been the creator and patient supporter of the venture and in whose hands all the technical direction of the project will naturally fall. Agricola Punica consists of 2 sites close to Santadi in Sulcis Meridionale – Barrua and Narcao, 30 and 100 hectares respectively. There are plans for a further 60 hectares to be planted, 40 hectares of which have already been located in the finest regional terrain with optimum exposure.
