Roberto Voerzio’s organically cultivated estate covers about 10 hectares in total, situated in some of the very finest sites of La Morra. Roberto tends to the vines himself, adjusting every stage in the viticultural cycle to the individuality of each plant; severe green harvests and bunch trimming, tiny yields, vinification accompanied by the sounds of Led Zeppelin, and micro-vinification units are just some of the secrets behind his iconic wines. Roberto’s ethos is clear. He will tolerate nothing less than the absolute expression of the Nebbiolo grape from the particular vineyard in that year, and if the fruit isn’t good enough, the wine doesn’t get made. It is this integrity that has led him to become one of the true icons of the winemaking world.
