Didier Champalou
Website : www.champalou.comCatherine and Didier Champalou are two of the most dynamic growers in Vouvray who have gradually built up an impressive 19-hectare domaine, planted solely with Chenin Blanc. Their aim is to bring out the maximum expression of character from the grape while reflecting the different terroirs on which the vines are planted. Harvesting is manual and selective to give the optimum maturity and balance of fruit. The wines are vinified and bottled in a cave, with maturation in both tank and barrique depending on the vintages.

-
Made from Chenin Blanc in a typically dry style with hints of pear and quince on the nose. Ripe and juicy on the palate with a strong chalky minerality, lots of fruits layers and balanced by a benchmark freshness.
