Champagne Henriot
Website : www.champagne-henriot.comOne of the oldest family-owned houses in Champagne, enjoying seven generations of uninterrupted ownership since the late 1700s. Unlike other “Grande Marques” the family focuses on developing strong bonds with the world of gastronomy. Eschewing the multiple off-trade / high street route to market, Champagne Henriot is found in some of the finest independent retailers and restaurants in the UK; where appreciation for quality and finesse is held in higher esteem than glitzy marketing.
The unmistakable Henriot style is the expression of the exclusive use of Grands and Premiers Crus vineyards without the use of Pinot Meunier. Pinot Noir is sourced from the northern slopes of the Montagne de Reims delivering a supportive backbone and elegance – the perfect balancing support to enhance the delicate complexity of Chardonnay, which is sourced primarily from Grands Crus in the Côte des Blancs. Brut NV is aged for four years before release (three on lees and one in bottle), the house speciality of Blanc de Blancs is aged for an extra year and all the larger formats are aged for an extended period relative to their size.
