Domaine de la Janasse

Domaine de la Janasse

Domaine de la Janasse, thanks to the great talents of winemaker Christophe Sabon, has become one of the finest estates in the Rhône. Whilst the domaine has built its reputation on the quality of its Châteauneuf-du-Papes and Côtes du Rhône reds, Christophe’s white and red IGP Pays merit similar accolades. From IGP Pays to Châteauneuf-du-Pape Vieilles Vignes, the same levels of care and attention are lavished on the wines. The 2008 vintage has received none of the plaudits of the 2007 and 2009 harvests, but serious growers like Sabon who carried out rigorous fruit selection made lovely, savoury wines which are very approachable today.
