Laura Aschero
The pioneering Laura Aschero estate is a tiny five-hectare dot on the map close to the French border, where the Ligurian Alps sweep down to the Mediterranean. The estate’s two white wines are a Vermentino which has the typical herbal and floral notes characteristic of the Ligurian “macchia” scrubland, and the unique Pigato which is a local variety redolent of rich fruit, pepper and minerals.

Bright straw yellow in the glass with an intense bouquet of peaches, acacia honey and broom flowers. These characteristics follow-through on the palate, with full body, incredible texture and a peppery twist. Simultaneously dry, fruity and structured.
