Mansion House Bay
Produced by leading Marlborough wine company Whitehaven, the Mansion House Bay Vineyard Selection label is made exclusively for Enotria. It is named after Mansion House Bay, the sheltered cove on Kawau Island in the Hauraki Gulf near Auckland, where Governor Sir George Grey once resided and entertained in stately splendour (1852-1888) in his rambling heritage-listed home, known curiously as Mansion House. Both award-winning Mansion House Bay wines are crafted from selected parcels of grapes from Marlborough’s Wairau and Awatere Valleys, chosen to make expressive wines by Whitehaven winemaker Sam Smail and his team.
We are especially proud of the fact that the 2013 International Wine Challenge saw Mansion House Bay Vineyard Selection Sauvignon Blanc 2012 scoring Gold, whilst its compatriot Mansion House Bay Vineyard Selection Pinot Noir 2010 was awarded a Silver Medal.
