Clos du Porteau

Website : www.clos-du-porteau.com

The Sauvignon de Touraine from this 25-hectare estate next to Château de Chenonceau, introduced to our range in 2009, has been a tremendous success. Aynard de Clermont Tonnerre, whose family has been in the winemaking business for many generations, is the brains behind both the Sauvignon and new last year, the Pinot Grigio Rosé, which, with only 16 hectares of Pinot Grigio in the whole of the Loire Valley, makes for a delectably unique and elegant rosé.

Lime and tomato leaves on the nose. The palate is bursting with citrus zest and gooseberry with balanced minerality and good length. An elegant wine with great complexity for a Sauvignon.
