Rauzan–Segla is a Chateau that has gone from strength to strength in recent years, making wines worthy of its ‘second growth’ status. There are 51 hectares under vine and production is 8,000 cases per year. The average age of the vines is about 25 years. The soil is a mixture of fine gravel and clay, and the vines are planted to a density of 6,600 to 10,000 vines per hectare.
