Ridgeview is a family company based on the South Downs of Sussex in England dedicated to the production of the highest quality sparkling wine from traditional Champagne varieties and methods. In 11 years of sales, Ridgeview has won over 180 medals and 26 trophies in International and National Competitions including numerous medals and trophies in French International competitions. In 2005 & 2011 Ridgeview was excitingly awarded the trophy for the best sparkling in the highly regarded IWSC. Ultimately Ridgeview caught global attention when they received the trophy for the best international sparkling wine in Decanter World Wine Awards 2010, the first time this has ever been awarded outside Champagne. In 2011 Ridgeview Fitzrovia Rose was served by the Queen in honour of President Obama’s visit to Buckingham Palace and Ridgeview Bloomsbury and Founder Mike Roberts was awarded an MBE for his services to the English Wine Industry.

  1. 2010 Bloomsbury Cuvée Merret, Ridgeview

    A light gold colour with a fine persistant mousse. Citrus fruit aromas and a hint of melon and honey. Chardonnay dominance brings finesse, along with crisp fruit freshness and toasty notes. The two Pinot’s add depth and character. A beautifully balanced finish. Will age gracefully over time as the Chardonnay matures. Drink now or age for the next two or three years.

    A lovely golden straw colour and exceptionally fine bubbles. The nose is full with hints of red fruits. The pinot dominance brings depth and complexity to the palate with a long lasting finish, whilst the Chardonnay adds finesse and freshness. On early release the Cavendish is quite fruit focussed but will continue to develop more complex biscuit and bready characteristics over time. Drink now or age for the next two or three years.

    A light salmon colour. Chardonnay dominance brings freshness and finesse, whilst the pinots add the flavours of summer fruits.

  4. 2010 Knightsbridge Cuvee Merret (Blanc de Noir), Ridgeview

    A lovely deep golden colour with a persistent fine stream of bubbles. Expressive red fruit aromas followed by a rich complex palate that is balanced by a mouthwatering freshness. The finish is long lasting and beautifully balanced. Being from only red grapes makes it a very distinctive wine.

  5. 2010 Grosvenor Cuvée Merret (Blanc de Blancs), Ridgeview

    A delicate pale gold with silvery highlights. Persistent bubbles giving an exceptional mousse. The bouquet is subtle with suggestions of honey and brioche which will become more noticeable with ageing. The palate has a firm attack which makes this wine truly refreshing, with citrus and white tropical fruits in abundance. A beautifully balanced finish that lingers on. Dtink now or age for 3 - 4 years.
