Proof that you can’t keep a good winemaker down! Tim Knappstein, quietly spoken, self deprecating, with a bone dry sense of humour, is a legend of Australian winemaking with over three decades under the belt. Tim lost the right to use his name when he sold the famous ‘Knappstein’ winery and brand based in the Clare Valley, a story which is still told in the hills to this day. This is Tim’s riposte to those who would doubt his continued influence – especially in the Adelaide Hills where he now consults. How good are they? Good enough to feature regularly in Matthew Jukes’ 100 Best Australian Wines and to grace the tables of some of the most highly respected and decorated restaurants across the UK.
