What is it?
Mandy and our training team present a number of different training options to match the needs of your business. As Mandy says,
“Often a restaurant’s staff will have specific gaps in their knowledge that they want to address. We can tailor our training to the outlet – working with our sales team and the restaurant manager – to ensure the customer gets the most out of it. Often we’ll focus on particular styles of wine which are popular in the restaurant or ways of upselling from the default choice.”
Our most popular type of training is a 1 to 1½ hour session between service, where we choose 6 to 8 wines to focus upon, once we have demonstrated how to taste wine. We discuss each wine’s taste, style and food match as well as simple facts to engage the staff and customer. We work closely with our customers to ensure we pitch the training at the right level according to the overall knowledge.
We are also able to create longer or more specific sessions such as Train the Trainer sessions, Champagne/Sparkling wine training and courses by region/country and Champagne.
