Tasting Note:
Amber, with golden reflections, the nose is full, rich but well balanced. The taste is harmonious, smooth, with hints of vanilla and almond flavour.
Vinification Note:
Soils are mainly silcio-calcareous and clay-calcareous. The climate is very dry with approximately 500mm or rainfall annually. The vines are trained vertically and are prunned using the traditional "alberello" (bush) or spalliera methods. The are of production of marsala is limited to the province of Trepani, which excludes the islands of Egadi and the commune of Alcomo.
