Food Matching Note:
Despite its classic style it is a very versatile wine to be enjoyed with many different dishes, try it with lamb shank or roasted rack of lamb for example.
Tasting Note:
Gorgeous aroma of crushed currants and berries. Full-bodied, with well-integrated tannins and a long, expressive, fruity finish. This is a very special wine, rich, with an ample range of fruity aromas, and very elegant.
Vinification Note:
The "Vigna del Fiore" is a vineyard unique in its kind. It is south exposed, at an altitude of 360 meters, with a very stony soil and only a small percentage of clay. The harvest took place by hand during the last weekend in September and the first week in October. Ageing is for four years in large Slovenian oak casks and matured in bottle for a further year before release.
