Tasting Note:
An outstanding Meursault with a deep straw colour, an amazingly complex nose of gun smoke and flint and toasted nuts. The palate is wonderfully rich and complex with elements of cream toasted nuts and more flint and smoke. The finish is wonderfully, long complex and impressive.
Vinification Note:
Meursault is a large and prosperous village in the Côte de Beaune district of Burgundy’s Cote d'Ors. The wines are mostly made from the Chardonnay grape. The quality of white burgundy from Meursault best premiers crus is rarely surpassed. This is a wine of depth, stability and with ageing potential. The local proverb recites that he who drinks only Meursault will never be a drunkard.
