Food Matching Note:
Grilled rib-eye steaks on sautéed onions and garlic croutes with curry oil, grilled beef blade steaks and bell peppers with spicy orange marinade.
Tasting Note:
Wonderfully ripe and packed with generous aromas of redcurrants, spicy blackberries and touches of flinty mineral notes. The palate is intense and concentrated but showing a beguiling balance between structure, fruit and new oak. Firm, lengthy finish, superb for food pairing.
Vinification Note:
Nuit-St-Georges can be described as a line of Premier crus threaded with clutches of Grand crus. It is here that the Les Pruliers Premier cru can be found. Les Pruliers lies at the southerly end of the Cote de Nuits, and rubs shoulders with vineyards such as Vosne-Romanée and Vougeot. The vineyard lies at an altitude of 250m a.s.l southwest of the town Nuit St Georges. Soils consist of a mixture of silt and scree over marl.
