Ageing Potential:
Will drink young due to its extra 12 months in bottle before release but will mature for up to 12 years.
Food Matching Note:
Game, braised red meat, matured cheeses and cured pork.
Tasting Note:
Intense red berry aromas, leathery and mineral notes. Good concentration on the palate, warm and very intense; tannins are still quite dense and firm; long finish, rich aromatic flavours. Perfectly balanced giving a harmonious result.

Colour:
Deep ruby red.
Nose:
Rich and concentrated, strongly reminiscent of berries, leather and juniper with earthy, mineral notes, hints of vanilla and sandalwood.
Palate:
Full bodied yet silky and energetic, anchored around a strong and dense tannic structure. The concentrated blackberry fruit dominates the palate right through the lengthy, supple finish.
'Funky' Tasting Note:
It's full bodied blackcurrant and berry characters combine in a structured, captivatingly silky and energetic palate.
Vinification Note:
The grapes were destemmed and crushed before macerating for 15-18 days on the skins. Fermented at 28 degrees C and then aged for 12 months in 225 litre Allier oak barrels (1/2 new) the wine receieved a further 12 months in bottle before release.
Detailed Vinification Note:
Harvested on the 25th August, the grapes were destemmed and crushed before macerating for 15-18 days on the skins. Fermented at 28 degrees C in 150hl stainless steel fermenters. After racking the wine was matured for 12 months in 225 litre Allier oak barrels (1/2 new) where malolactic fermentation was performed and then a further 12 months in bottle before release.
