A classic blend of Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon and a hint of Muscadelle. Aromatic on the nose with hints of gooseberries, citrus and flint that are echoed on the medium to light bodied, crisp, dry palate. A fine example of this much overlooked style.

A harmonious blend of Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon and Muscadelle.

Location:

From the Entre-Deux-Mers region of Bordeaux which lies between the rivers Dordogne and Garonne.

Flavour:

Very aromatic with exotic fruit tones and elegance. Freshness lingers on the palate for an astonishing length of time.

USP:

Véronique Barthe, who took over the family estate in 1992, is the first female heir in the family since the French Revolution.

Combined:

This harmonious blend of Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon and Muscadelle from the Entre-Deux-Mers region, has exotic fruit tones and astonishing length.

Vinification Note:

Sourced from vines planted in the early 1980's which are Single or double Guyot trained depending on the strength of the vine and density of the planting which yield 55 to 60 hl/ha. The grapes are picked at full maturity and undergo a traditional vinification with destemming of the harvest. Pneumatic pressing in a vacuum ensures that they are pressed slowly and gently. The temperature is maintained at around 19° during fermentation. The wine is then aged and bottled at the château before release.
