Food Matching Note:
Fruit rich and concentrated, this wine is a mouthful of a glass by itself but really comes into its own with food, where it is an excellent foil to spicy Eastern dishes and copes happily with full flavoured fish or salads.
Tasting Note:
Bright golden yellow in colour with an aromatic nose of ripe sub-tropical fruit and minerals. The palate is medium bodied and quite dense with a seductively textured mid-palate combining flavours of quince, passionfruit and grenadilla with limey, crisp acidity. Finishes pure and elegant.
Vinification Note:
The whole bunches are harvested by hand, de-stemmed and crushed into stainless steel tanks for fermentation at a cool, controlled temperature. Ageing is for a few months in steel before bottling for drinking on release.
