Ideally served between 10-12°C this Vermentino is brilliant on its own or with light seafood or fish dishes.
Tasting Note:
Straw yellow in colour with slight gold reflections it has an intense fruity bouquet that suggests mature exotic fruits. The palate shows a strong flavour together with aromatic notes and well balanced fresh acidity.
Vinification Note:
The Vermentino vineyards are located in the Tuscan part of the Maremma, and in particular south of the city of Grosseto. They are 150 m. (less than 1/10 of a mile) above sea level on the surrounding hills. The wine undergoes classic modern white wine vinification. After harvesting the grapes the must is cold settled and fermented for approximately 3 weeks at 15°C (59° F). The fermentation process and subsequent operations are carried out in steel containers. The wine is then released without any oak ageing to be enjoyed in its youth.
