Food Matching Note :
Always a friendly wine, Clancy’s is ideal to share at a barbeque. Delicious with roast chicken, spaghetti bolognaise and vegetarian cheese dishes. Or as one devotee suggested, simply serve with a good book and a comfortable chair!
Tasting Note :
Dark plum in colour with a deep red rim. A wonderful mélange of plum and pepper, violets and blackcurrant, minted spice notes and black olive can be found on the nose. The palate is unmistakeably Barossa, with a wonderful richness of delicious forest fruits on the palate. It has good structure and weight, beautifully integrated oak and finishes firm with fine grained tannins. A wine which offers immediate enjoyment.
Vinification Note :
‘Australia’s Legendary Red Wine’, Clancy’s blend is a firm favourite with lovers of red wine. Peter Lehmann’s winemakers follow the long Australian tradition of blending Shiraz with Cabernet Sauvignon, but giving their unique touch with the incorporation of Merlot to give a soft, approachable and richly enjoyable red wine. Successive vintages of Clancy’s, have gained major American and UK recognition for giving a splendid red wine at a very fair price. America’s leading wine magazine, The Wine Spectator, has selected Clancy’s in its prestigious Top 100 listing on no less than four occasions since 1997 and it gained gold against all-comers London’s International
Wine Challenge. Indeed, a wine worthy of its Australian Legend status, and proudly Peter Lehmann.

Equal proportions of Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon; the Merlot comprises 15%. Selected from mature Barossa vineyards and aged for 12 months in new and old American and French oak hogsheads.
