Food Matching Note:
A casual patio wine this cremant de Bourgogne is best enjoyed as an aperitif. However, it pairs wonderfully with crab, grapefruit and avocado.
Tasting Note:
There are blood orange and subtle strawberry notes on the nose with a clean minerality. On the palate, apple, pear and hints of soft red fruit with an additional floral character. The elegant wine oozes finesse with a soft and creamy mousse and makes for a perfect aperitif.
Vinification Note:
This great value alternative to Champagne is a blend of Burgundain grapes made with rigorous oenological control using the traditional (Champagne) method with a second fermentation in bottle. The vineyard is located just 50km from Champagne with a similar soil consisting principally of Kimméridgien clay. The wine is stored in bottle horizontally before disgorgement.
