  1. 2013 Bourgogne Rouge, Domaine Michel Juillot

Light, fresh and mineral with juicy red fruit and light, fine-grained tannins.

  2. 2013 Beaujolais Cuvée Traditionnelle V V, Domaine du Vissoux

Youthfully light cherry in colour, offering red stone fruit on the nose. The fruit is very stylishly extracted, generous, ripe and not shackled by too much tannin. The acidity is an integral part of the palate, keeping those cherry fruits juicy!

  3. 2011 Pommard les Vaumuriens Hauts, Domaine Henri Delagrange

Beautiful red-black colour. The vines are on the slopes above the premiers crus which produces complex, powerful wines with a fantastic dry, mineral quality. Aromas of blackberry, bilberry or redcurrant and cherry stone. A wild forest floor character may develop in time.

  4. 2012 Chorey-Les-Beaune, Domaine Maillard Père et Fils

Aromas of morello cherry and raspberry with complex earthy elements, mouthfilling on the palate with a good concentration of red berry fruits, a lick of smooth woody vanilla and a lovely supple, textured middle supported by very fine tannins. Elegant and complex despite its concentration with a well balanced and defined finish.

  5. 2011 Beaune 1er Cru Les Chouacheux, Domaine Chantal Lescure

Light and bright with medium weight, ripe tannins and ripe red berry fruit, spice and pepper.

  6. 2011 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Aux Champs-Perdrix, Alain Michelot

Beautiful dark red colour; rich concentration of fresh raspberries and black cherries, coupled with violet and earthy mineral notes.

  7. 2011 Mercurey 1er Cru Clos des Barraults Rouge, Domaine Michel Juillot

Light colour with light, fresh, black cherry, linear Pinot Noir character, fine-grained tannins, earthy minerality, a hint of tobacco and moreish, long finish.

    2012 Brouilly, Louis Tête

    (6x75cl)

A light, juicy Beaujolais, loaded with ripe fruit character and aromas of crushed strawberries and forest fruits. Deep ruby red in colour, Brouilly releases aromas of red fruits with a slight vegetal trace. It combines roundness with harmony. Well balanced and full-bodied, it possesses remarkable length in the mouth.

  9. 2011 Gevrey-Chambertin Vieilles Vignes, Domaine Charlopin

Deep ruby. Wild cherries and kirsch on the nose. Palate firm without austerity. Tannins textured and layered. Bright red cherry acidity and a hint of iodine lift the finish and lead on to the next glass.

  10. 2010 Beaune Clos des Mouches 1er Cru Rouge, Joseph Drouhin

Red fruits and undergrowth. Serious but so drinkable.
