    2011 Chablis, Domaine de Vauroux

    (12x37.5cl)

Aromatic with clean mineral notes and hints of citrus. The palate is medium bodied with crisp, appley acidity, tight, pure fruit flavours of white peach and pears finished with a classic, steely, dry finish. Stylish.

  2. 2012 Vermentino di Sardegna, Villa Solais, Santadi

Sardinia's best known white, this golden coloured, dry wine is herbal and aromatic, displaying light almond flavours and a fresh well balanced finish.

  3. 2011 Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Classico Superiore Signoria, Zaccagnini

Colour: Intense straw yellow with greenish hue, brilliant. Bouquet: Elegant hints of acacia and delicate notes of field flowers. Taste: Gentle, soft, intense and longlasting.

  4. 2011 Fiano di Avellino, Clelia Romano, Colli di Lapio

Highly aromatic nose of honey, lemon, liquorice and tarragon, plus a saline, brothy character. Strong acidity and concentrated, piquant flavors of citrus rind and minerals give this very impressive yet somehow delicate wine great intensity. Finishes very long and firm.

  5. 2011 Chateau Grand Renom, Bordeaux Superieur

Aromas of redcurrants, toast and vanilla, followed up with fresh, medium-weight palate and food-friendly tannins. Modern clean style.

  6. 2009 Chablis Grand Cru Bougros, Domaine Bernard Defaix

Very pleasant with flavours of flowers, honeysuckle in particular, and mineral notes, it is also full in the mouth with good length.

  7. 2012 Gavi di Gavi, La Minaia, Nicola Bergaglio

Pale gold in colour with flashes of diamond brilliance, it has a light, fresh, mineral and citrus bouquet. The palate is crisp and dry, with a hint of ripe pears and a complex array of red and green apples, the finish is mouthwateringly refreshing and lengthy.

  8. 2010 Cavendish Cuvee Merret, Ridgeview

A lovely golden straw colour and exceptionally fine bubbles. The nose is full with hints of red fruits. The pinot dominance brings depth and complexity to the palate with a long lasting finish, whilst the Chardonnay adds finesse and freshness. On early release the Cavendish is quite fruit focussed but will continue to develop more complex biscuit and bready characteristics over time. Drink now or age for the next two or three years.

  9. 2011 Puligny Montrachet 1er Cru La Garenne, Domaine Gilles Bouton

Intense aromas of apple, pear and zesty citrus fruit combine with creaminess and a notion of minerality. Remarkably concentrated and powerful for a Puligny with intense fruit framed by oak and a pervasive, underlying minerality.

  10. 2011 Chablis 1er Cru Les Vaillons, Domaine Bernard Defaix

There is a deft touch of wood surrounding the white orchard fruit and honeysuckle aromas that have glimpses of oyster shell poking through. The rich, forward and relatively generous flavours possess a seductive mouth feel and excellent complexity on the dry for the vintage finish. This should age well for the medium term.
