It’s a very pretty and lifted nose with fruit characters of fresh apple, mixed peel and rose petals with a spicy background of star anise, cinnamon sticks and a hint of white pepper.
The palate is lively and floral with yellow citrus flowers, green mango and barley sugar. The acidity is linear and spans the whole palate balancing the natural sugar nicely.
There are restrained mineral fruit tannins which add a lovely textural element.
Starts off all rich and ripe, there’s flowers, Turkish delight, marmalade and ripe apricots.
The palate is luxurious with lemon zest and butterscotch characters layered with zippy acidity and spiced fruit.
The finish is long, bright and balanced.
The Viognier is clearly evident on the nose with notes of apricot nectar, ginger, yellow peach blossom and dried citrus peel. Further investigation reveals some lovely florals, spice and a hint of nut characters from the Roussanne. The palate is thick, luscious and powerful. It's full-on botrytis with enormous fruit, spice and floral lift. It's surprisingly complex with dried peach, ripe grapefruit and a hint of rose water adding to the palate. This wine is spectacularly luscious and flavor packed. It will be a fun match to a range of desserts and cheeses at the end of a meal.
A racy nose to start, citrus blossom, fresh grass and marmalade mix with tropical fruits and ripe, sweet passion-fruit. It’s an heady mix of complexity and decadence.
The palate offers a spicy, zesty entry with the texture of lemon curd, all velvety and smooth with citrusy acid keeping it all in line. Layers of flavor keep on coming; includ-ing spicy orange cake, minerals and herbs.
This shows nutty, raisin and apricot flavours, and is full and sweet enough to match well with the sweetest desserts (even chocolate!).
