    Deep ruby in the glass with concentrated black fruit and oak aromas. On the palate, the wine is powerful, with classy wood treatment and a wonderfully rich, sensuous structure and a long finish. Watchwords are accessibility, concentration and supple balance.

    The Vieilles Vignes is made from equal quantities of Cabernet and Tannat and aged in new oak barrels. A more approachable wine than the Cuvee du Couvent, and an excellent partner to roasted meats.

  3. 2010 Cuarto Dominio Malbec, Cuarto Dominio

    Cuarto Dominio is the expression of 2 very small and different lots in the San Carlos vineyard, at 900 meters over sea level. The difference between these 2 parcels basically comes from the soil composition. Lot A with only 2 Hectares has 70% sand, 15% lime and 15% clay while Lot B with a tiny dimension of 1.4 hectares has 90% sand, 10% lime and a big percentage of surface stones. While Lot A lends ripe plum and chocolate flavours, a very soft and supple mouthfeel with excellent structure and length, Lot B offers more blackberry fruit with a slight earthy mineral tone and notes of spicy black pepper, exceptional concentration and explosive floral aromatic.

    Opaque centre with lighter brick red edges, young and vibrant red.Starts out more herbaceous with lavender and thyme in the lead. Cabernet franc much more predominant with some whiffs of coffee. Then comes the cassis, raspberry and perfumey rose petals. Elegant and accessible entry, fullness is a given. A seamlessly put together palate. Beautiful balance of fruit, wood and acidity.

    The Pinot Noir has been present in this area for more than 100 years.
    Light ruby red wine with a delicate fruity bouquet, reminiscent of raspberry.
    Gently fruity on the palate, with a fine subtle structure.

  6. 2012 Anaperenna Shiraz Cabernet, Glaetzer

    Enticing liquorice and fragrant herb notes on the nose, revealing hints of dark stone fruits and cassis with layers of roasted coffee beans. The key characteristic on the palate is the textural tannins that provide support for the supple yet restrained palate - finishing with freshness, purity and length.

    Intense red colour with elegant hints of violet. Sweet aromas of blackberries and plums, well combined with a subtle vanilla touch. Good structure and velvety texture, with soft tannins and long aftertaste.

    Medium/full-bodied, exceptionally complex with aromas of bacon, black cherries, liquorice, pencil lead, raspberry jam, a smokiness and dry toast. On the palate one can find a balanced acidity, integrated oak, modest tannins and cocoa powder, coffee, mushroom, peat moss, plum flavours jam, smoky.

    Ruby red colour. Powerful but elegant flavours with plumy and blackberry hints. Butterscotch and a slight spiciness is integrated by the subtle notes of vanilla that come from the oak aging. A full bodied wine with a voluptuous mid-palate and a long finish.

  10. 2013 Bardolino Doc Le Nogare, Bertani

    Smart nose with some cherry fruit and light dusting of spice. On the palate the wine is light, well balanced with more cherry notes and a savoury finish.
