    Robust and rustic with dried fruit (fig/prune) flavours accompanied by a creamy bitter-chocolate character, balanced by moderate acidity and smoky oak, with superb length.

    Wild cherry aroma. Dry with bright acidity, a beautiful naturalness to the fruit and some tannic grip to go with food. A serious and long-lived Beaujolais.

    Deep, rich red colour, leading to very appealing ripe English summer red fruits nose. Palate shows substantial depth and intensity of flavour, with excellent fruit concentration, some grip and great length of flavour. Delicious now but will keep well. Tantalising.

    The colour is cherry red with a marked violet tint. The nose whilst fruit forward is aromatic with cherry pulp, blackberry and liquorice aromas balanced with a soft caramel and vanilla. In the mouth, sweet fruit attacks on the mid-palate with fruit, and roasted, toasty flavours with a side portion of spice. Long and intense finish.

    This single vineyard Taurasi shows intense aromas of ripe dark black fruit.
    Dry and supple, the flavours of super-ripe dark cherries and plums are matched on the palate by smoke, bacon fat, tobacco, cedar, leather from the oak ageing and ripe, velvety tannins.

    This wine has a deep red colour with hints of violet. Aromas of licorice, cassis and warm raspberry jam. The palate is full bodied, complex and long with an elegant touch of roasted pepper and chocolate.

    Vibrant purple in colour, the nose is packed with brambly fruit with elements of smoke and coffee. Round and supple with finely textured tannins structuring the midpalate alongside spicy red berry fruit and well defined oak influence. Classic, approachable claret style.

    Ruby red colour with garnet hues; intense, elegant bouquet with hints of raspberry preserve, resin and tar and suggestions of dried flowers (roses and violets) and of cloves; dry, firm, balanced flavour with a distinctive, lingering aftertaste of prunes and toasted almonds.

    Humilitat is born to reflect the essence of the Priorat with no oak artifice and a gentle extraction. We still perceive the garrigue and dark mulberry fruit typical of the area, yet the texture is delicate the tannins soft and the finish lingering.

  10. 2005 Rioja Gran Reserva, Marqués de Riscal

    Aromas of sun-dried fruit combine with hints of vanilla on the nose. Sweet and savoury sensations fill the mouth, leaving behind a touch of caramel and wild cherries on the finish. Velvety tannins add balance and texture.
