  1. 2011 Domaine Capmartin Madiran Vieilles Vignes

    The Vieilles Vignes is made from equal quantities of Cabernet and Tannat and aged in new oak barrels. A more approachable wine than the Cuvee du Couvent, and an excellent partner to roasted meats.

  2. 2011 Kalkmergel Spätburgunder, Weingut Knipser

    Quintessentially Pinot Noir nose, with aromatic crushed strawberries and a toasty note. Think Otago. Then the palate is more restrained with dry character, chalky acidity and a Burgundian silkiness to the tannins. Long finish, very balanced and elegant.

  3. 2013 Ebano 6 Tempranillo, Ribera Del Duero

    Intense, almost opaque ruby core with a purple rim on first release, this powerful young wine shows a highly fruity nose of ripe blackberries, ripe plums and strawberries. The mineral notes of the terroir, and a hint of fresh greenness work wonderfully as a foil to the exuberant fruit. On the palate there is a medium to full bodied mouthfeel with powerful structure given by warm, ripe tannins.

    Opaque, almost black in colour with an aromatic and complex nose of blackberries, currants, liquorice and spices. Full bodied and structured, well balanced with ripe fruit and a lash of vanilla on the firm finish.

    Fleshy and rich with soft plumy fruit.

    This wine has a complex nose of mint, blackcurrant and chocolate and the palate is juicy and ripe. There is a good layer of toasty oak in the background to complement the black cherry and cassis fruit flavours and grippy mid-palate tannin. Very long, clean and elegant on the finish.

    Fine, elegant and structured, the Clos du Chapitre shows the very burgundian style of Pinot noir. The structure of this wine gives him a very good potential for ageing.

  8. 2012 Nebbiolo d'Alba DOC, Bricco San Giacomo, Ascheri

    Ruby red colour with garnet reflections. Full bodied bouquet, with a delicate violet scent. Dry on the palate, yet velvety, harmonious and very persistent at the same time. Very well balanced, with distinct class and style.

  9. 2012 Plumbago Nero d'Avola, Planeta

    Abundance of red fruits like plum aromas, ripe blackberry typical of western Sicily Nero d’Avola blended with scents of cocoa, and almost Sacher cake. Soft tannins and roundness characterize the wine.
