    Opaque centre with lighter brick red edges, young and vibrant red.Starts out more herbaceous with lavender and thyme in the lead. Cabernet franc much more predominant with some whiffs of coffee. Then comes the cassis, raspberry and perfumey rose petals. Elegant and accessible entry, fullness is a given. A seamlessly put together palate. Beautiful balance of fruit, wood and acidity.

    For Pinot Noir, a quite dark, deep ruby. When young, the aromas evoke the garden in spring, red fruits (raspberry, strawberry, cherry) and black fruits (blackcurrant, blackberry). These flavours become more intense with age: peony and jasmine, jam and fruit in eau de-vie, pistachio, prunes, leather, truffles, mushrooms, cinnamon. It is a generous, opulent wine with distinguished tannins.

    A light, juicy Beaujolais, loaded with ripe fruit character and aromas of crushed strawberries and forest fruits. Deep ruby red in colour, Brouilly releases aromas of red fruits with a slight vegetal trace. It combines roundness with harmony. Well balanced and full-bodied, it possesses remarkable length in the mouth.

  10. 2012 Sutherland Pinot Noir, Thelema

    The wine is light and clean, with earthy wild strawberry and raspberry flavours, and a perfumed and elegant finish.
