  1. 2009 Abercrombie Cab Sauv, Howard Park

The deep and dark ruby colour implies the intensity and richness that is abundantly delivered on bouquet and palate. Full of dense and very ripe blackberry and blackcurrant fruits with hints of sweet mint, freshly rubbed savoury herbs, earth and truffle. The fruit power and opulence of the palate is deftly cradled by well integrated ripe fruit, firm acidity and fine oak tannins. A wine of great presence that will age with grace.

  2. 2009 The Bonsai Vine GSM, d'Arenberg

The nose is full of vibrant fresh fruit including plum, raspberry, currant and cranberry with varietal spice and a lovely violet overtone providing a delicate touch.
The elegant palate adds rhubarb to the fruit spectrum with a very attractive pink muck nuance emerging on the mid palate with a second layer of earth and dried herbs providing a savoury kick. The lively acidity is linear and focused and a real feature. The tannins have good weight and build through the palate with a handsome presence on the long finish.

  3. 2013 Mariona Alicante Bouschet Organic

Mariona Alicante Bouschet is a smooth and balanced young red wine with glorious notes of ripe red berries and aromatic herbs on the nose and a beautifully opulent silkiness on the palate.

    2012 Wallace, Glaetzer

    (6x75cl)

Black cherries and winter fruits dominate the nose - which is pure, lively and captivating. Rich and rounded on the palate, the Grenache adds blackberry tones and fresh acidity whilst the old-vine Shiraz adds structure, hints of liquorice and bright fruit.

  6. 2011 Miamup Cab Sauvignon, Howard Park

Deep ruby red in colour with aromas of youthful and classic cabernet aromas of sweet mint, poached red fruits, savoury herbs and a touch of mocha and toasted oak.

  7. 2013 Maison Saturnin Rouge, IGP Gard, Laudun Chusclan

Dominated by aromatic red fruit on the nose and concentrated red fruit flavours on the palate.

  8. 2010 The Twenty Eight Road Mourvedre, d'Arenberg

A combination of blood orange, redcurrant, iodine, oregano and rosewater give the wine strong aromatics and exotic flavours.
As it develops we will see even more layers of complexity in the form of game, cured meats and new leather.
The palate is pleasantly medium bodied, displaying a beautiful restraint that allows all of these flavours to share the spotlight.
    The tannins are slightly cedary.

  9. 2013 Tormentoso Pinotage Reserve, Man Vintners

Opaque blood red in colour with a vibrant, heady nose of red berry fruit and exotic spices. Medium to full bodied with an anchoring, underlying structure and densely packed black berry and cherry fruit flavours. Finishing polished, with rounded spicy oak.

  10. 2012 La Place Merlot, IGP Pays d'Oc

Soft and elegant with ripe damson fruit character, subtle tannin and a long elegant finish.
