  1. 2005 Shiraz, Tappa Pass, Henschke

    Very deep crimson in colour. The nose is concentrated and complex, with sweet lifted ripe aromas of spicy blackberries, blueberries and prunes, with hints of chocolate, anise and tar. The palate is sweet, ripe and lush, concentrated and complex, with intense blackberry fruits, plum, anise, cedar and tar. The texture is fleshy with silky layered tannins, excellent balance and great length.

    Deep crimson in colour. Lifted aromas of spicy sweet plum, blackberry and cassis with hints of cedar and tar. Sweet, rich ripe and lush on the palate with great intensity and structure. Fleshy in texture, the wine has excellent depth and complexity with powdery tannins.

    Bright crimson in colour with classic Pinot Noir aromas of red/black cherry complemented with brooding earthy undertones. Hints of violets and lavender lift the rich black cherry spice palate which finished with fine velvety tannins.

    Full and upfront varietal fruit with spicy aromas on top of sweet oak overtones. Deep savoury currant fruit characters with smooth tannins and vanillin oak. Long and satisfying finish.

    The 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon is a vibrant ruby in colour. Wonderfully fragrant, with a lifted nose of black cherries, mulberries and plums, complemented by spicy oak characters of tobacco and vanilla. The palate displays plummy, blackcurrant jam notes with a hint of mocha.
    A rich, textural wine, with savoury, fine-grain tannins and fresh acidity.

    Vibrant purple hues with a deep ruby red core. The nose has masses of black fruits, red currants and spice which support hints of espresso and dried spice notes. On the palate, the wine is soft yet maintains expressions of cassis, anise and earthiness. Savoury, rich and yet balanced and restrained.

    Black cherries and winter fruits dominate the nose - which is pure, lively and captivating. Rich and rounded on the palate, the Grenache adds blackberry tones and fresh acidity whilst the old-vine Shiraz adds structure, hints of liquorice and bright fruit.
