Intense dark garnet colour with a ruby edge. Loads of dark fruit with layers of heather and wintergreen combined with Viognier floral and candy floss notes to produce true complexity on the nose. It follows through to the palate with elegance and finesse.

    2012 Mourvèdre, Tormentoso

    (6x75cl)

A complex nose of berry fruit that is complemented by Fynbos (heather/bracken) and spice aromas. Palate is layered with flavours of cloves, leathery spice and red fruit. A dry and savoury finish.

  4. 2011 The Gypsy, Ken Forrester Wines

The character is somewhat wild, a little brambly with hints of nutmeg, cinnamon, dark spices, with vanilla scents and a distinct, concentrated red-fruit focus. Great for laying down and keeping for at least ten years but already rewarding if allowed to breathe in a decanter.

  5. 2001 Morgenster Estate Red, Morgenster

Dark plum, concentrated centre and opaque to the edges. Enticing with almonds, coffee and sweet caramel, and alluring sniffs of cassis and vanilla pods. Great freshness with hits of blackberry sweetness. Elegant entry, very plush and immediately filling. Sweeter dark berry fruit very evident, which contributes well to balancing the minerality which adds a lot of weight.

  6. 2012 Pinot Noir, Sutherland

    2012 Pinot Noir, Sutherland

    (6x75cl)

The wine is light and clean, with earthy wild strawberry and raspberry flavours, and a perfumed and elegant finish.

  7. 2010 Cabernet Blend, Sutherland

This blend was aged in French oak barrels for 18 months. The wine is packed with dark
fruit flavours, and shows a pleasant spiciness on the palate. There is a refreshing sweet
    blackcurrant finish. Will reward cellaring.

  8. 2014 Petit Pinotage, Ken Forrester Wines

Classic Pinotage aromas of spicy mulberries, plum pudding and cherries, with more subtle hints of smoky bacon. Juicy and accessible with a soft palate and delicious fruit concentration.

  9. 2003 Lourens River Valley Red, Morgenster

Opaque centre with lighter brick red edges, young and vibrant red.Starts out more herbaceous with lavender and thyme in the lead. Cabernet franc much more predominant with some whiffs of coffee. Then comes the cassis, raspberry and perfumey rose petals. Elegant and accessible entry, fullness is a given. A seamlessly put together palate. Beautiful balance of fruit, wood and acidity.

  10. 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon, Meinert

Dense deep fresh red colour. The nose shows red berries, typical Cabernet herbs, spicy toasty oak and tobacco. Mouth filling and weighty but not clumsy on the palate, finishes crisp and lingering.
