  1. 2010 Clos de la Roche Grand Cru, Domaine Fernand Lecheneaut

Luxurious and incredibly complex on the nose, demanding many minutes of contemplation before tasting... and what a palate when you do! Beautifuly balanced with style, finesse and length, the mid palate is a riot of red fruit flavours, spicy oak and well integrated, fine grained tannin lasting well into its deliciously rounded, multilayered finish. Superb.

  2. 2010 St Aubin 1er Cru En Créot, Domaine Gilles Bouton

Rather like a summer fruit pudding (+cream!) with its red berry fruit characteristics, supple, creamy texture and fresh acidity.

  3. 2010 Bourgogne Pinot Noir, Domaine Régis Rossignol Changarnier

Beautifully bright, light, ruby Pinot colour. Wild strawberries on the nose with amazing purity, 12.5% alcohol, and lightness of touch which really speak of a cool climate. Looking for Burgundian elegance? – this is it. However, this wine is no shrinking violet and has fine tannins and high acidity. Some will find this austere on its own, but it really refreshes the palate if drunk with food.

  4. 2010 Gevrey-Chambertin, Domaine Lucien Boillot

Medium/full-bodied, exceptionally complex with aromas of bacon, black cherries, liquorice, pencil lead, raspberry jam, a smokiness and dry toast. On the palate one can find a balanced acidity, integrated oak, modest tannins and cocoa powder, coffee, mushroom, peat moss, plum flavours jam, smoky.

  5. 2008 Gevrey-Chambertin, 1er Cru Les Cherbaudes, Domaine Lucien Boillot

Classic Pinot Noir from one of the top growers in the Cote de Nuits. The wine is elegant and stylish with a long velvety finish.

  6. 2009 Volnay 1er Cru Les Brouillards, Domaine Lucien Boillot

A wonderfully intense red burgundy with classic ripe red fruit character on the nose. The palate has classic soft pure fruit and fine tannin, that provide the wine with an excellent structure.

  7. 2009 Gevrey-Chambertin, Les Evocelles, Domaine Lucien Boillot

The bouquet exudes oak and charm. Rich and mouthfilling with great persistence. The fullness hides the steely core at first. Approachable young but worth keeping.

  8. 2011 Bourgogne Pinot Noir, Domaine Maillard

Pale, ruby red in the glass, this a pure and elegant red wine, displaying classic Pinot Noir aromas of wild strawberries and red currants. Smooth, balanced and very moreish.

  9. 2008 Volnay 1er Cru, Domaine Régis Rossignol Changarnier

Savoury but with intense fruit that opens up with aeration. Slight element of mineral/gritty character displayed by the village level Volnay. Greater intensity of fruit, which persists excellently on the palate, and balanced, fine-grained tannin. Smokey/savoury character on finish. Superb.

  10. 2008 Volnay 1er Cru Les Chevrets, Domaine J & H Boillot

Ripe, crushed raspberries and leafy strawberry aromas preceede its dry, poised, elegant palate. There is some fine grained, well integrated tannin that adds structure and a persistant acidity lifts the ripe strawberry fruit flavours into a soft, dry, engaging finish.
