  1. 2010 Morey St. Denis, Domaine Fernand Lecheneaut

One of the best last vintages of Burgundy. Ripe fruit and complex nose of small red fruit, lovely soft texture and a mouthfilling finish.

  2. 2012 Pinot Noir Reserva, Viña Leyda

Bright ruby red colour. A fruity nose with strawberries, hints of red cherries and a subtle wild herb notes with a delicate smokiness and tobacco. Refined on the palate, juicy and full of ripe berry flavours, a hint of minerality and refreshing finish.

  3. 2010 Gevrey Chambertin 1er Cru Lavaux St Jacques, Domaine Harmand Geoffroy

Precision and purity of fruit mingles with more savoury, herbal, Burgundian aromas on the nose. Soft initially in the mouth, progressing to much more concentration and grip as the palate develops. Slightly youthful tannin on the finish but marvellous finesse of fruit. Benefits from decanting to enjoy now and over the next five years.

  4. For Pinot Noir, a quite dark, deep ruby. When young, the aromas evoke the garden in spring, red fruits (raspberry, strawberry, cherry) and black fruits (blackcurrant, blackberry). These flavours become more intense with age: peony and jasmine, jam and fruit in eau de-vie, pistachio, prunes, leather, truffles, mushrooms, cinnamon. It is a generous, opulent wine with distinguished tannins.

  5. 2010 Gevrey-Chambertin, Les Evocelles, Domaine Lucien Boillot

The bouquet exudes oak and charm. Rich and mouthfilling with great persistence. The fullness hides the steely core at first. Approachable young but worth keeping.

  6. 2011 Gevrey-Chambertin, Domaine Lucien Boillot

Medium/full-bodied, exceptionally complex with aromas of bacon, black cherries, liquorice, pencil lead, raspberry jam, a smokiness and dry toast. On the palate one can find a balanced acidity, integrated oak, modest tannins and cocoa powder, coffee, mushroom, peat moss, plum flavours jam, smoky.

  7. 2011 Gevrey-Chambertin, Les Evocelles, Domaine Lucien Boillot

The bouquet exudes oak and charm. Rich and mouthfilling with great persistence. The fullness hides the steely core at first. Approachable young but worth keeping.

  8. 2011 Volnay 1er Cru le Clos de Chênes, Domaine Henri Delagrange

Ruby coloured with a incredible depth of aroma and flavour. Violets and red fruits are extremely expressive, but also powerful, long-lived and elegant.

  9. 2010 Beaune Clos des Mouches 1er Cru Rouge, Joseph Drouhin

Red fruits and undergrowth. Serious but so drinkable.

  10. 2012 Black Label Pinot Noir, Yealands

A bright, ruby hued wine with aromas of black cherry, violets and savoury spice on the nose. A fleshy palate with notes of plum and spice, silky tannins and a firm finish.
