  1. 2010 Bourgogne Pinot Noir, Domaine Régis Rossignol Changarnier

Beautifully bright, light, ruby Pinot colour. Wild strawberries on the nose with amazing purity, 12.5% alcohol, and lightness of touch which really speak of a cool climate. Looking for Burgundian elegance? – this is it. However, this wine is no shrinking violet and has fine tannins and high acidity. Some will find this austere on its own, but it really refreshes the palate if drunk with food.

  2. 2010 Beaune 1er Cru Les Theurons, Domaine Régis Rossignol Changarnier

Transparent red colour. Musky, chocolaty fruit; slightly mature-smelling. Real development of fruit aroma in the glass over time. On the palate, sweet, delicate fruit, slightly gamey. Excellent length, subtle fruit, light tannin.

  3. 2008 Gevrey-Chambertin, 1er Cru Les Cherbaudes, Domaine Lucien Boillot

Classic Pinot Noir from one of the top growers in the Cote de Nuits. The wine is elegant and stylish with a long velvety finish.

  4. 2011 Hawkes Bay Pinot Noir, Trinity Hill

Black fruits, such as plums, blackcurrant and cherry are evident, entwined with wet earth and smoky oak notes. These classic varietal characteristics found on the nose are reaffirmed on the palate. The firm, dry tannins give the wine excellent structure, while the degree of ripeness adds depth, complexity and a silky texture found in few wines. All of which lends itself to a delicious middle palate and long length.

  5. 2011 Black Label Pinot Noir, Yealands

A bright, ruby hued wine with aromas of black cherry, violets and savoury spice on the nose. A fleshy palate with notes of plum and spice, silky tannins and a firm finish.

  6. 2011 Pinot Noir, Little Yering, Yering Station

Aromas of lifted strawberry and red cherry fruit with gamey notes, complimented with subtle vanillin oak. The palate is well structured and persistent with great depth of fruit and savouriness on the finish.

  7. 2010 St Aubin 1er Cru En Créot, Domaine Gilles Bouton

Rather like a summer fruit pudding (+cream!) with its red berry fruit characteristics, supple, creamy texture and fresh acidity.

  8. 2011 Seleccion de la Familia Pinot Noir, Humberto Canale Patagonia

This Pinot Noir represents the best of the varietal in Argentina, it shows the terroir characteristics of the Alto Valle del Río Negro oasis. It is a mature wine, intense and elegant, rich in taste and flavour. This is the first Pinot Noir crafted in oak casks in the Argentine Patagonia, since 1999. The wine has an intense ruby colour, with purple reflections. On the nose it has complex fruity and spicy aromas. In the mouth it is medium bodied, velvety and smooth. Flavours of vanilla, tobacco and walnuts highlight the initial red fruit profile. The finish is long and persistent.

  9. 2009 Gevrey-Chambertin, Les Evocelles, Domaine Lucien Boillot

The bouquet exudes oak and charm. Rich and mouthfilling with great persistence. The fullness hides the steely core at first. Approachable young but worth keeping.

  10. 2008 Volnay 1er Cru, Domaine Régis Rossignol Changarnier

Savoury but with intense fruit that opens up with aeration. Slight element of mineral/gritty character displayed by the village level Volnay. Greater intensity of fruit, which persists excellently on the palate, and balanced, fine-grained tannin. Smokey/savoury character on finish. Superb.
