Wine
-
Bright crimson in colour with classic Pinot Noir aromas of red/black cherry complemented with brooding earthy undertones. Hints of violets and lavender lift the rich black cherry spice palate which finished with fine velvety tannins.
-
A plump and fruity front palate, fine but solid tannic structure, tight acidity when young adding length and complexity built from pepper, spices and pulled together by smart oak.
-
Dense and tight, with finely structured tannins building on the palate. The wine is tightly wound and restrained with years to go before its full savoury and fruit complexity shines through.
-
Aromas of lifted strawberry and red cherry fruit with gamey notes, complimented with subtle vanillin oak. The palate is well structured and persistent with great depth of fruit and savouriness on the finish.
-
A pretty purplish crimson colour. The nose speaks of bright red fruits - raspberry and cherry, then violet florals, dried meadow herbs and hints of cherry pip, oak and botanical spices. The palate is attractively brambly with a core of red fruits, fresh acidity, fine, graphite-like tannins and a savoury edge which balances the fruit. This wine is approachable when young yet shows potential for further improvement with careful cellaring.
-
Classic young intense Shiraz Viognier. Fragrant perfumed and classy with loads of dark fruits, spice pepper, blackberry jam and violets.
-
Rich plum and blackberry with an array of spice and hints of Viognier aromatics. Juicy, rich dark berry fruit with wonderful texture and soft, dry tannins.
-
Complex red and black fruit characteristics, ripe oak and well integrated, fine grained tannin are the hallmarks of this full bodied but elegant wine.
-
Concentrated and complex nose with lovely ripe, intense fruit of black cherry and plums. Fine French oak adds a toasty, smoky aroma. The palate is full, plush and concentrated with great poise and velvety tannins. It has a long, persistent finish.
Very complex in quite full-on style that splits the difference between, say, Mornington and Russian River Valley. Great sweetness. Spicy and flattering – quite long. 17/20 - Jancis Robinson MW
